The Queen Mary
9/15/01

The Corrs stop in Long Beach to visit the floating museum, the Queen Mary.

Sharon: Why do we have to go here? I want to get to San Francisco!
Jim: Pictures, pictures.
Caroline: Wasn't it named after a queen that persecuted the Irish?
Andrea: I think that was Queen Elizabeth.
Caro: Oh... I don't know.
Andrea: I'm confused myself.

They pay for the tickets.

Jim: 10 dollars each! My goodness...
Caro: Jim's a cheapskate.
Jim: No. I just keep an eye on my money.
Andrea: Yeah, Mr. "I need my 10 cents change." *rolls eyes*

They walk up, looking at the ship looming above them.

Sharon: It's so big. It'll be night by the time we get out of here!
Caro: Well it'll go quicker if we get moving, come on! (tugs Sharon's arm)
Jim: Wait, we should stick together.
Andrea: Why?
Jim: How are we going to find each other?
Sharon: Why don't we just all meet here at noon, that's 2 hours. Plenty of time to look around.
Jim: But I want to take pictures of us all... (looks sad)
Caro: Aww... Mr. "Catch that Kodak moment."
Sharon: Well if we decide to split up we'll meet here.
Jim: Wonderful. Wait, I want to get this shot with the ship in the background.

(The sisters sigh and gather up.)

Jim: Okay, smile!

They smile and he takes the picture.

Jim: One more! (runs in front of the camera, smiling, holding it in front of him).

*snap*

Bored looking, the sisters trudge in one direction. Jim walks behind them.
They use a really big elevator to get onto the ship, and walk along the top deck. Caroline sticks her head in one of the engine cowls and looks inside.

Jim: Wow, we're so high up. Look at all the people, they're like ants.
Andrea: Watch this. (Throws a peanut over the railing. It makes a long trip down.)
Jim: Careful! You could hurt someone!
Andrea: With a peanut?

Then, someone on the ground falls over. A whole bunch of people crowd around him.

Jim: Um, maybe we should get moving.

Caroline bonks her head inside the engine cowl and follows the rest of them.
They go down several series of ladders and end up on the Poop Deck (the rear of the ship).

Andrea: Why do they call it a poop deck? (giggles)
Sharon: You have me there.

Jim is looking around.

Jim: Okay, how about a photo by the back rail there?

The sisters sigh again and go to the very back railing of the ship.

Jim: Sir, can you take this picture? Thank you.

Jim gathers by his sisters, they smile and the picture is taken. Then the guy turns and walks off.

Jim: Hey! Come back here!

Jim chases after the man. Sharon shrugs.

Sharon: You think he'll get that camera back?
Andrea: I hope he doesn't.

Caro leans up against the rail, it creaks and shudders threateningly.

Caro: Give me good 'ol Irish craftsmanship anyday. (Gets off the rail and shakes it again)

They walk along the deck, and go inside. The ship is huge inside, full of beautiful woodwork and carpeting, glass chandeliers and elegant dining-ware. And tourists in ugly windbreakers and baseball caps...
Sharon and Andrea are appreciative of the ship's beauty.

Caro: Aw, the Irish could do better.
Andrea: Come on, Cazz, they're a country full of history and luxury.
Caro: Yes, history of killing Irish peasants and taking our money, yes, history and luxury... (Andrea laughs)

Andrea sees a door marked "Employees only", and opens it.

Andrea: Where do you think this leads?
Sharon: Close the door, Andrea. We're not allowed.
Caro: Who'll care?
Sharon: Um, the EMPLOYEES.
Andrea: All they can do is kick us out.
Sharon: Yes, off the ship, which I really fancy NOT happening.
Caro: Ok then, Andrea and I will go into the employee area, you go on by yourself and look at the wood.

They leave, going down a staircase. Sharon looks around.

Sharon: Wait up for me!

Andrea makes a loud wailing siren sound as they go down a metal corridor. There is a spiral staircase leading down.

Sharon: Where does this go?
Caro: I don't know, who has the map?
Andrea: Jim has it.
Sharon: Drat, I knew we should've waited for 'im.
Andrea: Jim can take care of himself, so can we. This probably goes down to the engine room or something.
Sharon: The closed engine room?
Andrea: It's not closed, the cargo hold is.
Caro: Ah yes, the spooky goblins and banshees haunting the cargo holds.

Sharon, holding onto her faith in the lord, protests.

Sharon: Ghosts don't exist. It's all just make believe.
Andrea: Sure, then why are you 'ere?
Sharon: Hush.

They go down the staircase for what seems like ten floors. With every level it gets darker and darker.

Caro: This is rather spooky.
Andrea: I know. Good thing I have this flashlight with me.

There is a door with a red light above it, which Andrea opens. There are people walking on the catwalks above.

Andrea: This does lead to the engine room. We're right with them on the floor.
Sharon: Great, just the thing I love, big dangerous machines.
Caro: They don't work anymore.

They go through the door, walking among the huge engines. The door behind them closes.

Sharon: The people are so high up. We shouldn't be down here.
Andrea: This reminds me of when we were young and used to get into mischief all the time.
Sharon: We never prowled ships like this... just ran around in the woods and chased geese.

The catwalks above are high up, and nobody above notices the 3 Corr sisters walking among the engines.
There is a small staircase, and then another door with a red light.

Andrea: Should we dare?
Sharon: Come on, let's go back.
Caro: Open it!

Andrea opens the door to see a long corridor flooded with greenish light. There are numbers painted on the walls.

Caro: I think this is the cargo hold, Andrea.

Sharon looks down the corridor, darkening with distance.

Sharon: Please, let's go back. I don't want to go any further.
Andrea: Come on, there's nothing down here. We can always make a run for it if there is.
Caro: Just don't let the banshees get you. Eeeeehehehehee!!!!
Sharon: Stop it!

They go into the cargo hold, leaving the door open behind them. The cargo hold is dusty and pieces of cardboard and wiring are strewn about on the floor.

Andrea: What a mess.
Caro: This is spooky. I like it.

Sharon is looking around, eyes wide.
They find a door about 50 feet ahead, and open it. It leads to the next section of the cargo hold. This part is less lit than the others. Andrea starts sucking her thumb.

Sharon: This is getting too creepy.
Caro: You're squeezing my hand too hard.
Andrea: Look, a whistle!

Andrea picks up a simple metal whistle from the floor. She dusts it off and blows. The whistle makes a shrill howl, bouncing off the walls.

Andrea: Loud little thing, isn't it?
Sharon: Unn.... (shaking)
Caro: Let's keep going.

They continue on through several more cargo holds, and finally come to one totally dark. Andrea's little flashlight provides light.

Sharon: PLEASE you two, can't we go back? It might be too far, maybe we're locked in here, it'd take forever to walk all the way back!
Andrea: It's only been 20 minutes since we last saw Jim. Come on, let's go in here.

Sharon grabs Andrea's hand.

Sharon: Please Andrea, I don't want to go in there. I'm scared.

Andrea feels a little compassion.

Andrea: I won't let anything hurt you. As long as we're all together, we're fine. We'll watch each other's back, okay?

Sharon nods, and they walk into the blackened cargo hold.

Caro: Hold my hands.

Andrea and Sharon latch onto Caro's hands as they walk through the dusty cargo hold. A creak shudders through the ship's walls.

Sharon: Ah! What was that?
Andrea: The ship is old. Maybe it always does that.

More creaking, then silence.

Andrea: See? Probably just the ship settling out in its frame.
Sharon: I hope you're right.
Caro: Let's keep going. I kinda want to get to the front of the ship.
Sharon: Why?
Caro: No reason, just a goal. (goal, goal, goal)
Andrea: Wow, that really echoed.
Sharon: Let's hurry, I hope the next hold has light in it. (it, it, it)

They continue along, and finally reach a door. Andrea opens it, and the next room is lit like the first, with healthy green lighting. The walls curve and then go upward about 100 feet away.

Caro: Alright, we made it!
Andrea: Let's go check it out.

They go in, and look around. This particular room isn't as dusty or dirty as the others, and it actually looks and smells clean. No cabling or tools lying around.

Caro: This is so neat. (knocks on the steel walls)
Andrea: This place has terrific acoustics. We should have a concert in this room.
Sharon: Um... thanks but no thanks.

Andrea takes the whistle from around her neck, and blows it to test the acoustics. The sound reverberates off the walls with excellence.

Andrea: Marvelous. Listen to it echo...

(blows it again)

Sharon shudders and leans against a wall. Andrea blows the whistle again, and there is no echo.

Andrea: What's with this?

The sisters' eyes meet for a second or two before a loud shudder rumbles the cargo hold, and the lights go out.

Meanwhile....

Jim: Wooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*toiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnng*

Jim flies back up into the air, the bungee cord keeping him safe. He swung in the morning air above the ship, and bounced again.

Jim: Oh man, if only they could see me now!! (referring to the sisters)

Back in the bowels of the ship...

Andrea: Caroline!
Caro: I'm here! What happened?
Sharon: I knew it, I knew it!!!

Ominous howling and screams echo through the walls, with the sound of banging and screeching metal.
Andrea turns on her flashlight and sees Caroline hunting around in the dark.

Andrea: Caroline! Hold onto me!

Caroline sees Andrea's light and goes to her. The light in the room starts to come back very dimly, making the walls a dull, dark gray.
Sharon heads for the door, opens it, and bolts out into the darkness.

Andrea: Sharon! Come back!

Sharon doesn't stop.

Andrea: Sharon!
Caro: Come on, let's get out of here!

More howling and screams fill the cargo hold, making Andrea and Caro get goosebumps.

Caro: Let's go!

Caro runs, Andrea doesn't know what to do, and lags. The lights go out again, but Caroline knows where to go. Andrea is still in the first room.

Andrea: Caroline! Wait!

Andrea runs into the next cargo hold, trying to catch up to Caroline, but Caro has already run to the middle of the next room. The doors to the cargo holds slam shut.

Andrea: Oh no...

Andrea sees something move in the darkness near her.

Andrea: Hello? Is someone there?

She hears footsteps, rough ones, then they turn to muffled tapping. It's coming closer.

Andrea: Please don't hurt me. I'm not here to hurt you, please...

Caroline stops after the doors slam.

Caro: Andrea? Are you there?

A whisp of cold air sails around Caro's body and leaves.
The sound of rushing water can be heard in the distance.

Caro: Somebody here? Whoever it is, please show yourself.

Caro hears footsteps coming to her.

Back to Andrea...

Andrea: You won't hurt me, will you?

The footsteps come closer, until they're right behind her. Andrea can feel cold air pressing on her neck. She turns to see... herself...?
There is another Andrea standing there. Only this Andrea was pale, dirty, wet. Her eyes were beady and staring, her clothing was rugged and torn. It was the same kind Andrea was wearing at the time. There was even a silver whistle hanging around her neck.

Andrea: Are you... are you me?

The Andrea in front of her opens her mouth, attempting to speak, but only ragged gurgling and water comes out. Andrea is disgusted.

Andrea: Are you... what are you? (What are you? echoes off the walls)

The Andrea smiles, its teeth moldy and yellow, some missing. Some skin flakes off from its cheek.
Then the Andrea does something that Andrea doesn't expect; it comes to her and hugs her. At first, Andrea is stunned, but then she feels like it was nothing. It's her...
Andrea put her arms around the dead Andrea, hoping to comfort it. Hollow crunching occurs beneath the dead Andrea's skin, and the back collapses a bit. The bones?

Andrea pushes the other Andrea away softly.

Andrea: Are you here to tell me something? What is it?

The dead Andrea smiles again without the teeth, but more skin falls from the face as it contorts. Then it speaks.

Dead Andrea: You shouldn't be here. No-no. Not your place. This happen. Get you.
Andrea: Get me? What will?
Dead Andrea: They. Get you. You leave. This happen don't. Won't.

Blood starts to trickle from the dead Andrea's mouth, along with water.

Andrea: That's what you're telling me? Warning me?

Dead Andrea cocks her head to one side.

Dead Andrea: Leave. Live. Life. Live. Stay, die. Life. Live. Go. Now. It happen.

Suddenly, the bulkhead of the ship starts to creak. Andrea can see rivets popping from the wall, and the metal starts bending.

Dead Andrea: You go now. Or this. (points to herself)

The dead Andrea turns her head to one side, showing an ugly, moldy hole in the skull. Andrea tries not to vomit.
Then, a rivet pops out of the wall with so much force that it bounces off the opposite wall. It almost hits Andrea's head, in the same place that the dead Andrea had the hole.

Andrea: Are you causing this? Can't you stop it?

Dead Andrea shakes her head.

Dead Andrea: You go. I no exist here not. Not good. You leave. Me not here you leave.
Andrea: (thinking) If I leave, she won't exist, and she doesn't want to exist that way. Neither do I. Wait, she's me...
Andrea: (out loud) Must I take you with me?
Dead Andrea: You GO. Leave. Me leave. You leave. GO.

The walls burst and the floor quickly fills with water. Andrea gasps at the cold.
The dead Andrea reaches out and touches Andrea's forehead. Andrea sees the room filled to the top with water. And her... floating, decaying in the water as fish dine on her flesh. She has a horrid expression on her face.
Then Andrea comes back, and the room is flooding. A deep, dark laughing happens from somewhere in the walls.

Dead Andrea: You GO. Save you me. You me. Save.

Andrea doesn't need any more explanation. She runs to the cargo hold door, and cranks it open. She turns to see the dead Andrea standing in the middle of the other room, watching her. The water is beginning to get to knee level now. The dead Andrea looks sad, and Andrea can't help but to feel sad for her.
As Andrea closes the door behind her and seals it tight (water tight), the dead Andrea smiles and disappears. The water in the other room vanishes...

------------------------------

Caro, on the other hand, had a bit more of an ordeal...

Caro: Who's there?

Out of the shadows comes another Caro.

Caro: What the bloody hell?

The other Caro, disheveled and dirty, stands in front of Caro and cocks her head to one side.

Caro: Who the hell are you?

The other Caro doesn't say anything, but its eyes turn red. Not like bloodshot, the iris actually turned red like a contact. Caro takes a swing at the other Caro, but it ducks and punches Caro in the stomach.

Meanwhile, Andrea is trying to crank open the cargo hold door. The wheel turns very slowly...

Caro was lying on the floor, looking up at her other self.

Caro: (In tears) What the hell do you want from me? Who ARE you?

The other Caro smiles, and water begins to flow from her mouth and other places on her body. Soon it was like someone had turned on a giant faucet. The room is flooding, up to the ceiling. Caro tries to keep her head above the water, but soon there is no place to go but in the water. She holds her breath for as long as she can.

Caro: (thinking) I've got to find that cargo door.

She swims in the water toward the shape of the next cargo door. The water is glowing green with the lights.
Then, from her right, the other Caro swims by gracefully as if though it was used to this sort of thing. It swims a loop around Caro, then comes back and drifts near.
Caro stares, wondering what the other Caro would do.

Then the other Caro bares its teeth as if though it was in a horror movie. The face stretches, and millions of razor sharp teeth fill the mouth, and the eyes glow evilly.

Caro freaks out, and swims with all her might toward the cargo door wheel. She starts to turn it.

The other Caro zooms past her, snapping, and swims to the other side of the room. Caro looks behind and can see fifty feet behind her, two glowing red eyes approaching, glaring at her. She turns the wheel faster.

Andrea, on the other door, is still turning the wheel. The wheel becomes easier to turn, and occasionally she looks behind to see if something is there.

Andrea: I can't believe she was trying to save me from getting drowned.

She opens the door, and the room floods.
Caro hears a clunk and sees the door way over on the other end of the room opening. Andrea is now adrift and swimming in the green water. Caro wants to shout but can't waste the already low air in her lungs. The other Caro looks at Andrea, but goes for Caro instead.

Andrea swims across the room towards who she thinks is Caro, but it's actually the other one. She grabs its foot and it turns around, snarling in the water.

Andrea: (thinking) Cazz???

The other Caro snaps its teeth and swims at Andrea. Andrea panickingly swims away, trying to get some air or something.
Caro, at the cargo door, sees the other Caro chasing Andrea in the water.

"Why are you trying to kill us?" Caro thinks.
"I'm not. Attacked me."
"What? You can hear me?"
"Can hear. Save you. Let me not. You."
"Who attacked you?"
"You. Attacked. I get Andrea. Now."
"No! Please, you have to help us."
"What get from it?"
"Jeez, she thinks just like me," Caroline thinks.
"AM you. Help you."

The other Caro chases Andrea, who is trying frantically to swim. Andrea screams as the other Caro grabs her; now she has no air. Andrea thinks it's all over until the other Caro puts its mouth over hers and breathes.

"What are you doing?" Caroline thinks.
"Saving. You soon."
"I need air! Can't you empty the room?"
"Can't. Only help."

Andrea swims off, with a whole new breath of air, looking at the other Caro. It has lost all the razor teeth and now looks like a drowned Caro, much like the drowned Andrea, complete with rotted leather pants and jacket.

They swim over to the other door, where Caro is holding the wheel, trying to hold her last bits of oxygen. The other Caro grabs Caro's head and breathes out.

Then, it disappears. No more dead Caro.

Andrea looks at Caro, confused, and Caro shrugs.

They both turn the wheel, with increasing speed, and hear screams from the water, much like the ones from earlier.

"Come on, open!" Caro thinks.
The door swings open, and they are deposited into a wet heap in the next room. The room fills with water, but then the water slowly disappears, and both Andrea and Caro are on the floor, gasping for breath.

------------------------------

And now, Sharon's turn...

Sharon finally gets tired of running, and stops. She is in one of the last rooms of the cargo hold, surrounded by what looks like generators.
There are sounds echoing through the ship, what sounds like screams, banging, water flowing, muffled breathing, thumping, everything. Sharon is shaking, crying, wondering why her sisters haven't followed.

A man walks out from behind one of the generators.

Man: Who are you? What are you doing down here?
Sharon: I... I'm sorry, I didn't know I wasn't allowed.
Man: You're not allowed. Nobody. Nobody. NOBODY!!!!!

The man picks up a crowbar and advances.

Sharon: Come on now, I'll leave. Please... em... I'll just go through the door there.

The man swings the crowbar through the air, missing Sharon by a few inches. Sharon runs past the man.

Sharon: God, save me!

A man in a sailor's uniform runs in front of the exit door. He looks pretty mad... Sharon stops and looks for another way out.
A little girl walks out from behind a shelf and stares at Sharon.

Sharon: Hello there... em... do you know the way out?

The little girl looks up at Sharon, then walks past her and motions to a ladder leading up.

Sharon: Up there?

The little girl smiles, then vanishes in a mist, the eyes leaving last. Sharon gets goose bumps.
The man from earlier is shuffling his feet, stumbling toward Sharon, still holding the crowbar. He sure doesn't look happy.

Sharon runs to the ladder, and begins climbing. The man chases and his crowbar slams into the metal wall with a clang. Luckily, Sharon is already far ahead. The man doesn't follow.
Sharon climbs all the way up, through an open hatch, onto a large platform.

Sharon: Where am I?

There are large gears and belts about, sticking out from strange places in the walls and the platform she was on. Sharon goes to the end of the platform and looks down. There is more gearing and other places to step.

Then she realizes from the lighting where she is. She is on top of the dormant, derelict ship's engines, larger than life, the last place she'd want to be. Immediately she starts shaking.

Then something movs in the darkness. It comes closer and closer, and Sharon becomes very alert. Lowly, she starts mumbling a prayer.

Then, another Sharon walks out. It steps gracefully on top of the gears and looks at Sharon. Sharon stares at the bloody, broken version of herself. She can see bones popping through the skin, some parts missing.

Sharon: Em...

The other Sharon stares, then steps off the gears and floats in midair to go right in front of Sharon. She motions with her fingers to follow.
Sharon, unsure, follows herself, stepping carefully along the top of the engines, all the while aware that she could easily fall and either cut herself on the gears or land gracefully 50 feet or more down.

There is a loud, piercing howl and a rumble. Both Sharons look, but Sharon herself is more nervous than the other. The other Sharon knows what was coming.

Steam starts to pop from valves and meters on the engines, and the engines begin to crank, filling the room with deafening noise. Sharon swears she can hear people walking along the catwalks and working on the engines.

The other Sharon keeps walking, and then they reach a part of the flooring that is wide enough to stand normally. The other Sharon turns to look at the normal Sharon, then walks forward and attempts to jump over a large section of gears on the engine. She falls short. Sharon nearly vomits as her other self is gored in the machinery, blood spattering all over, hair and dress parts shredding and falling 50 feet down.

Sharon: No way, can I get through that... *bluhhhhhhh*

Meanwhile...

Jim: Yeah, put extra cheese on mine.

Jim looks at his watch. It's about 11:40, almost time for them to meet up. Luckily, he'd discovered a hot dog cart.

Girl: Would you like to also try one of our giant soft pretzels?

Jim is also into the girl working the cart.

Jim: Sure! No problem. (gives 50 cents)

Back to Sharon...

Sharon wips her mouth and looks at the machinery. She has no idea how to jump over the gears.

On a catwalk above, the little girl from earlier shows up. She is transparent now, like a ghost usually is thought to be. She tumbles over the railing, screaming, and falls into the machine.

Sharon: Okay, not what I need right now...

Then, behind Sharon, the man from earlier is approaching. He looks REALLY mad now, and stalks toward her.

Man: Not allowed. NONE OF YOU. NOBODY.

Sharon grabs a large monkey wrench, and readies herself for combat.

Sharon: Wait, what's that expression...

Sharon throws the monkey wrench into the gears, and the gears stop with a loud squeal. The wrench starts to buckle, but there is her chance!

Sharon runs on top of the gears, being careful not to stumble and fall, and is able to make it to the other side. The man swings at her with the crowbar, standing on top of the gears.

Man: You'll NEVER...

*clang*

The monkey wrench shatters.

More blood flies as the man screams and is pulled into the machine. The man's soul flies from his body, and disappears into the darkness.

Sharon climbs down another ladder, and after about 75 feet or so, ends up on the floor. The engines die and stop, and the room becomes quiet and dormant again.

Then Caro and Andrea burst through the door at the other end.

Caro and Andrea: Sharon!
Sharon: Run! RUN!

There is nothing chasing them though, and the two tackle Sharon in a hug.

Andrea: Oh my... I thought we'd never see each other again!
Sharon: Me too! Hey... why are you both so wet?
Caro: Long, long story.

Sharon notices that during the whole ordeal, she had gotten no blood on her at all, even after the whole experience on the machines.

Sharon: Anyone fancy LEAVING?
Caro: You don't have to even suggest it. (opens the door and starts to run up the spiral staircase)

------------------------------

9/16/01

The Corr sisters use the elevator to get back down to the ground.

Sharon: Man, I wish that employee hadn't yelled at us like that.
Caro: Well after what we went through, I didn't care.

They step off the elevator, and see Jim sitting at a table across the way, with a bunch of hot dogs and his camera. He takes a picture of them as they walk up.

Jim: Hey there... what happened to you three?
Andrea: Em... the toilets exploded.
Jim: What?
Caro: Yep, they just went BOOM. Water everywhere.
Jim: Well I got us all some "hot-dogs".
Sharon: You mean Frankfurters.
Andrea: Something like that.

Sharon watches as the ketchup starts to flow.

Sharon: Em... I'm almost not in the mood to eat... oh well.
Jim: Hey, how about after this we go down into the lower decks? They have the engine rooms, the propeller box and shaft...

The 3 sisters look back and forth at each other. Caro is in mid-chew and looks away at the thought.

Later, they do go down into the lower decks. None of the sisters let go of one another as they walk along a catwalk high above the engines.

Jim: Too bad we can't visit the cargo hold, I hear about how they have ghosts in there.
Sharon: You don't know the half of it... (mumbles)

They visit the propeller box, the hole cut in the ship to show the propellers under the water, with the plastic diver in there showing the size of the prop compared to a person.

Jim: Wouldn't it be a shame to fall in there... man, I'd be frozen to death with fear. Massive...

Andrea looks at Caro and shakes her head.
Finally they all admit to Jim what had happened. He listened, but wasn't convinced.

Andrea: Really! We'll show you!

But the door leading down iss locked. So forever it is only the Corr sisters' experience.

Later on, as they get ready to drive off (in a brand new BMW sport utility), Jim makes a remark.

Jim: Wouldn't mind visiting this place again.
Sharon: I would.

As Andrea stops at a stoplight, still able to see the front of the ship. She can make out three female figures standing in the water. Caro and Sharon look at Andrea in surprise.

Caro: Do you see what I see?
Andrea: Yes.
Jim: What? Where? I don't see anything.
Sharon: Right there. In the water.

Jim looks in the water, staring, and takes his glasses off.

Jim: Need to get these things cleaned. (rubs the lenses and puts them back on)

Then his mouth drops a bit.

Jim: What the blazes...

Standing beside the 3 Corr sister ghosts is a Jim ghost. Only thing with the Jim ghost is he has a bungee cord attached to him. Caro tries to snap a picture with her Polaroid.

Andrea sees the green light and floors it, zooming down the street, soon slowing down to the speed limit.

Andrea: Did that come out?
Caro: I don't know, it's still developing.

The picture comes into view, of the ship and the water. But the figures are not there. Caro drops the picture and sinks her head into the headrest of the seat.

Sharon: We going to San Francisco now?
Jim: Sounds like a good plan. I kinda wish I had gotten more photos of the ship. Or the ghosts, that would've been something.
Andrea: Yeah, it would. WHOA!

*THUMP*

Andrea slams on the brakes. A man in a sailor's outfit had run out in the middle of the road.

Caro: Did you hit somebody???
Andrea: Dear god, I think I did!

They all jump out of the car, and look behind it. There is no body at all. Nothing. The street is unusually empty, no cars or people.

Andrea: Something is wrong... it has to be something with the ship.

She turns to get back into the car, and sees the man in the sailor's outfit in the seat. He glares at her, and she screams.
The man lunges, grabbing Andrea's throat.

Jim: Andrea!
Sharon: Get off her!

Jim runs up and throws the sailor off of Andrea. The man falls to the ground and disappears.

Jim: Andrea, are you okay?
Andrea: (gasp) Yes, I think so.
Jim: Are you sure?
Andrea: We need to go back to the ship.
Sharon: Why?
Andrea: I don't know... but when he grabbed me, I just got this big feeling that something was unfinished there.
Jim: Down in the lower decks?
Andrea: I think so. Maybe that's why our ghosts were staring as we left. Maybe they meant something.

Just then, someone taps Jim on the shoulder. Jim turns and sees a mirror. More like himself.

Dead Jim looks at Jim, pale-skinned, blotched, bloody, with bites and scrapes all over him. And attached to his feet is a broken bungee cord.
Jim backs up in panic.

Jim: No! Get away!
Dead Jim: Not 'urt ya. Back. Come. To.
Jim: What?
A fish falls out of Dead Jim's jacket, flopping and gasping.

Dead Jim: (points at Andrea) You come. All come. Bring whistle.
Andrea: What?

Dead Jim picks up the fish, looks at it, and bites the head off. *Crunch* Then he disappears.

Jim: I think I'm going to be sick.
Andrea: Did he say he wanted me to play my tin whistle?
Caro: What, they want a concert from us? What is this?

------------------------------

Sharon: Wouldn't exactly be the best arena.
Andrea: We should go there... and see what they really want.
Caro: But wait, they might try to kill us again! And what if our "ghosts" aren't there to help us?
Jim: Maybe they're trapped and want out... maybe that's why.
Andrea: Well he was able to come all the way out here down the street. And so was the sailor.
Caro: What if they keep doing that? What if we're just anywhere and somehow that sailor keeps jumping in and strangling you, Andrea? That's too much!
Just then, a man in overalls runs toward Sharon.
Jim: Sharon, look out!

Sharon dodges as the man swings his crowbar.

Sharon: Not YOU again!

Jim jumps into the car, digging into the car's emergency kit. He finds a big flashlight, and gets out.

Sharon: Someone help me!

Andrea and Caro keep their distance, for a single strike with the crowbar would end it all. Jim comes up behind the man with the big flashlight, and brings it down upon his head, hearing bone crunch. The man falls and disappears.
Andrea sees the sailor again. He walks right through her.

Sharon: Something is happening. Andrea, look.

Andrea looks at the sailor. He walks into the middle of the street, then turns around slowly to face all of them. Then with a deadly, ear-piercing howl, he lifts his arms.

Suddenly Andrea finds herself knee-deep in water. There is no dead Andrea.

Caro finds herself in a room slowly flooding. It is now waist-deep.

Sharon finds herself cornered again, in the engine room. A sailor us blocking the door out, the man with the crowbar us stalking toward her.

And Jim finds himself dangling upside-down.

*snap/crackle*

Jim: Help me!!!

Jim can see the Queen Mary upside down in front of him. The cord at his feet is slowly ripping. On the tower for bungee jumping, workmen are trying to get the machine to bring Jim in. It isn't working.

Andrea does what she did last time, and opens the door to the next room, then shuts it behind her. She runs across and tries opening the other door. The wheel won't turn.

Andrea: Caroline!!!

Caro is swimming now, diving down every now and then to try and open the door. The wheel is barely turning.

*Clang*

Sharon jumps away as the man brings the crowbar down on the machinery. He turns to face her, and follows.

Sharon: Somebody help!

She goes to the ladder from earlier, and begins climbing to where she thinks is the way out. She does all the climbing around on the live engines. Except there is no ghost Sharon leading her. She comes to the same area with the gears blocking the way out.

The man is right on her heels, and before Sharon can pick it up, the man picks up the monkey wrench, the only thing Sharon could use to survive.

Caro is now at the ceiling of the cargo hold, getting her last few breaths of air.

Jim's bungee is nearly gone.

Andrea runs, dodging popping rivets that are flying from the walls.

Andrea: Why is it always ME??!

A rivet pops, and Andrea sees it coming. It stops a few inches from her face.

Caroline swallows water, and faints, floating along.

The man knocks Sharon with the monkey wrench, and she falls backward, right into the churning gears.

Jim's bungee line snaps, and he feels vertigo as he falls... and falls... and falls... to the shallow water below.

The rivet stops and falls to the floor. Andrea lets out a breath.
Then, dead Sharon, Andrea, Caroline and Jim show up.

Dead Jim: You bring whistle. Give. Use. No. Would?
Andrea: What? (pulls out her tin whistle)
Dead Sharon: Give whistle. Undo. Free.
Andrea: You want this? (hands the tin whistle to them)

The ghosts look to the left, and shunt backward. Andrea looks to see a sailor, in full dress, cap and everything. He looks at Andrea.

Dead Jim: Whistle! Whistle!
Andrea starts playing her tin whistle, anything that comes to mind. She can't think of a tune, being in so much fear.

Dead Jim: Whistle!
Dead Sharon: Whistle!
Andrea: I AM! (plays part of Haste to The Wedding but messes up)
Dead Caro: WHISTLE!
Andrea: What do you bloody mean? I AM!

The sailor steps forward, and shoves Andrea backward. She lands on her bum and rolls across the floor. Her tin whistle lands on the floor with a ding and rolls away.

Dead Sharon: Whistle. Andrea. Have. GIVE.

Andrea tries whistling, still not getting it. The sailor comes up again, picks her up, and tosses her. She rolls across the floor.

Andrea feels a sharp pain in her pocket.
She reaches in, and pulls out the metal whistle that she had found on the floor earlier.

------------------------------

Andrea: Is this what you want???

The sailor doesn't answer. He keeps advancing.

Dead Andrea: Use. Save. Use! Use! Three! Use...

Andrea puts the whistle in her mouth and blows. It makes a loud, shrill tone. The man still advances. Andrea pushes herself backward on the floor, keeping away. She frantically blows the whistle again. The man still advances.

Andrea: What did I do to deserve this?

Andrea blows the whistle a third time, and the man stops. He stops walking, and looks down at Andrea. Then, his glare becomes neutral as his body explodes into tiny rain droplets, getting Andrea wet. Soon she can't see anything, as the room fills with a heavy mist that creates a giant whirlwind. The ghost versions of her siblings are swirling in it. 3 of them fly through the walls. Ghost Andrea flies right into Andrea's face.

Then all the Corrs found themselves dry and fine, riding the elevator. Caro gasps for air, falling to the floor. Jim cries out and grabs his head, expecting to find chunks of rock. Sharon grabs at the air, as if trying to free herself.

Then they all look around.

Sharon: What the devil...
Caro: *cough* Are we okay?
Jim: ROCKS! FALLING! AGGGH!

Andrea is the most calm.

Andrea: Wow...
Sharon: What just happened there? First we were at the car, then I was in the engine room, and I fell...
Caro: I drowned, didn't I?
Jim: Falling... ow, rocks, FISH! (crawls into the corner)
Andrea: The sailor wanted his whistle back. Remember the one I took from the floor?
Sharon: That's IT? All that because he wanted his STUPID WHISTLE BACK??
Andrea: I guess so. Oh wait... damn, now I've lost my tin whistle and it wasn't even my fault this time.
The elevator arrives at ground level, and they step out, except for Jim.

Jim: Rocks... owie... stop biting, fish! No! Falling!

Sharon gingerly and pleasantly slaps Jim in the face.

Sharon: Snap out of it, Jim.

Jim looks around.

Jim: What? Huh?
Caro: He's okay now. Let's go.

They all go back to the car, which is neatly parked in the parking spot it was in when they had first arrived.

Jim: Did I really just die bungee jumping?

Another enthusiastic jumper goes off the tower in a wheelchair, and bounces.

Andrea: I don't think any of that really just happened... I think we all went back and then forward again.
Sharon: I guess... something like that.
Jim: I hate this ship. I hope we never come back again.

The sisters smile at Jim's changed attitude toward the Queen Mary.
They get into the car and drive down the road, which is polluted with pedestrians and cars.

Sharon: When we get to San Fran, maybe we can go to Alcatraz!
Andrea: NO.
Jim: If there's bungee jumping there, NO.

Caro: HELL NO.
Sharon: Just kidding.
